Beats Fit Pro – Totally Wireless In-Ear Noise Canceling Headphones – Apple & Android Compatible, Bluetooth® Class 1, IPX4 Certified, Built-in Mic – White
Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation)
- sound engineering: Have AirPods Pro 2 and Beats Fit Pro active noise cancellation, ambient noise mode and spatial audio with dynamic head tracking. They have the key features that are usually looked for in this type of product (spatial sound is interesting with Apple Music, for example, or when consuming content from Apple TV+ or Netflix). However, active noise cancellation is stronger on the 2nd generation AirPods Pro, a fact to consider when looking for the best possible isolation.
- connectivity: Both proposals have fast configuration and pairing with Apple devices thanks to the H1 (Beats Fit Pro) and H2 (AirPods Pro 2) chips. The H2 chip is responsible for improving noise reduction, adaptive transparency mode and superior autonomy. But these AirPods have those too U1 chip in the charging box so users can locate it if lost via network search. The Bluetooth version is also better on the AirPods Pro 2, it’s 5.3 instead of 5.0 as is the case with the Beats.
- controls: Beats Fit Pro includes a multifunction button on each earbud to control music, calls, and the voice assistant (although they also work with “Hey Siri”). The button can also be configured to increase or decrease volume and toggle between different sound modes. AirPods controls Pro 2nd Generation are gesture-based and feature a new touch surface where you can increase and decrease the volume with just a swipe of your finger.
- autonomy: The Beats Fit Pro headphones promise up to six hours of battery life per charge with active noise cancellation turned on and up to 18 hours with the USB-C charging case. The AirPods Pro 2 have improved their autonomy compared to the previous generation and they can play up to six hours of audio on a single charge, although that drops to around 5.5 hours with spatial audio with dynamic head tracking active. The case gives you up to 30 hours and can be charged via Lightning or MagSafe.
- Endurance: Both options are sweat and water resistant IPX4.
- Price: The Beats Fit Pro have an RRP of 249.95 euros and the AirPods Pro 2 of 299 euros.
AirPods Pro 2 VS Beats Fit Pro, which wireless bluetooth headphones to buy?
The Beats Fit Pro and AirPods Pro 2 are pretty similar Bluetooth wireless headphones, but There are some differences and use cases to be aware of.
- If you are looking for sports bluetooth headphones: The Beats Fit Pro have a fairly ergonomic design that’s built for sports and rated IPX4, but the AirPods Pro 2022 don’t budge from the ears once they’re put on and have the same resistance to sweat and water. If you’re using them at the gym, the Pro’s active noise cancellation is more isolating.
- If you are looking for maximum autonomy: Apple promises up to 30 hours of use with the charging case on the 2nd generation AirPods Pro and a range of around 5.5 to 6 hours per charge. The Beats Fit Pro also offers up to six hours, but stays at 18 hours with the case.
- If you are looking for the best active noise cancellation: The noise-cancellation on both headphones is good, but it’s better on the AirPods Pro 2, and while the difference isn’t huge, it’s noticeable.
- If you are afraid of losing her: 2nd Gen AirPods Pro are integrated with the Find My network and can more accurately attempt to locate themselves from the iPhone in the event of loss as the case integrates the U1 chip (but a compatible iPhone is required). The Beats Fit Pro also integrates with search, but doesn’t offer pinpoint search.
